熱衷於人民俗信仰研究，曾進行的雃就包括青雲亭個案研究、天后宮研究、王爺信仰研究、新潮人善堂及大峰祖師研究、保生大帝信仰及三忠王信仰等研究

CHAN Yann-sheng is passionate about researching folk beliefs. His research includes case studies on Qingyun Temple, Tianhou Temple, Wangyeh belief, the New Chaoren Benevolent Association, and Da Feng Zu Shi, as well as studies on the belief in Baosheng Dadi (the Emperor of Health) and the Three Loyal Kings.
