顏泳和 YAN,YONG-HE

拿督/馬來西亞僑生(峇峇娘惹)公會會長

顏泳和，祖籍中國福建廈門市海滄區青焦村，出生於馬來西亞麻六甲，至少第6代華人。他畢業於馬來西亞大學法律系。期間擔任過麻六甲歷史城市議員。 顏泳和於2017年榮獲“拿督”勛銜。

顏泳和也於2012年擔任馬來西亞僑生（峇峇娘惹）公會會長。顏泳和一向積極推動峇峇娘惹文化，也在國內外主辦各項峇峇娘惹活動。以顏泳和為首的馬來西亞僑生（峇峇娘惹）公會與廈門市閩南文化研究會自2017年聯合推動中馬兩國“送王舡”的民俗文化活動最終在2020年成功被列為人類非物質文化遺產代表作名錄。顏泳和也於2020年以及2024年擔任麻六甲勇全殿“送王舡”活動主任及麻六甲勇全殿博物館建委會主席。

2023年，馬來西亞國家文化遺產局根據《2005年國家遺產法令》（第645號法令）委任顏泳和為“傳統文化遺產專家委員會”成員為期兩年。

Ronald GAN Yong Hoe, whose ancestral home is in Qingjiao Village, Haicang District, Xiamen, Fujian, China, was born in Malacca, Malaysia, and is at least a sixth-generation Chinese Malaysian. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Universiti Malaya and has served as a councilor of the Melaka Historic City Council. In 2017, GAN was awarded the honorific title of “Datuk.”

In 2012, Ronald GAN Yong Hoe became the President of the Baba Nyonya Peranakan Association of Malaysia. He has been actively promoting Baba Nyonya culture and has organized various Baba Nyonya activities both domestically and internationally. Under his leadership, the Baba Nyonya Peranakan Association of Malaysia and the Xiamen Minnan Culture Research Association have jointly promoted the Sino-Malaysian folk cultural event “Wangkang Festival” since 2017, which was successfully inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020. GAN also served as the Director of the Wangkang Festival and the Chairman of the Museum Construction Committee at The Court Of Bravery, in both 2020 and 2024.

In 2023, Malaysia’s National Heritage Department appointed Ronald GAN Yong Hoe as a member of the "Traditional Cultural Heritage Expert Committee" for a two-year term, pursuant to the National Heritage Act of 2005 (Act 645).
